A Message From Our CEO

Season’s Greetings!

Welcome to Journeys the Arcadia Club Newsletter. I am Tommy Del Zoppo, the CEO of New Hotel Collection and Arcadia Resorts. Our goal each month is to provide you with exciting updates on each of our unique properties and to include some area events that may interest you while planning your next vacation.

First, I want to thank you for being Arcadia Club Members. As 2022 is quickly coming to an end, I would like to share with you a little about the company while highlighting some details of our properties that are exclusive to you and expressing my desired vision for our member experience. My family loves traveling throughout the U.S., Europe and South America, and I sincerely hope our products and services help you travel better.

We are always working on improving our properties! We have some exciting news for you for 2023, as you’ll read below.

  • Harbourside Resort has seen a lot of exciting changes, including updated living room furniture and patio furniture. We have also redesigned the 5th floor veranda and plan to add a wet bar for guests to use in 2023. The property overall has seen a great deal of other upgrades to the waterpark, Splash Harbour and Jimmy Iguana’s, as well. Additionally, in early Summer of 2023 we will be renovating the lobby with additional meeting space which will include a small grab-and-go food and beverage area.
  • Beachside Resort has been improved with newly updated living room furniture, and with more durable and attractive outdoor furniture around the pool. In 2023, watch for exciting renovations that will include a total remodeling of areas that will affect the entire resort complex.
  • Central Hotel has seen an attractive update to all indoor common areas. In early 2023, we will update all the elevator landings to include a large reception table to greet you when departing the elevator. In addition to that, we will update the bedrooms in 2023, and will be sending all members a rendering to review in an early 2023 newsletter to receive feedback.
  • The Cordova Inn, an iconic property since 1921, is on the cusp of a much-needed update and expansion. In 2023, we will begin an aggressive construction project, which will include the addition of 65 more guest suites, two new restaurants, a second-floor veranda, and a palatial garden. This has been one the most challenging projects we have undertaken to date. The City of St Petersburg has been a wonderful ally for us throughout all of this, but the project is extremely challenging due to the historic nature of the 100-year-old building and the availability of materials. We expect to begin construction soon, and we will keep you up to date on the progress of this multi-year project.

Here are a few other things to know about the properties and your membership.

Our Harbourside property is at the heart of the “beachy” town of Indian Rocks Beach, as well as being located adjacent to a first-class outdoor water park and close to restaurants and bars that are available year-round. Exclusive to Arcadia Members is our newly renovated Sunset Deck, where you get to avoid the crowds from the beach and have private access to the sunset in comfortable seating for everyone in your party.

Beachside Resort is the perfect destination for a getaway without any of the hustle and bustle. The resort offers direct access to pristine white sand beaches, making it an ideal spot if you’re looking not only for relaxation but also some great fishing adventures.

The Historic Central Hotel, located in Sevierville, Tennessee, sits in the heart of the Smoky Mountains. It is perfectly situated for those who are looking to enjoy time in the surrounding areas of Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge, and everything else the area has to offer, especially the roughly 520,000-acre Great Smoky Mountains National Park. There is something about being in the mountains and listening to the wonderful sounds of nature or unplugging and experiencing some “off-roading” experiences.

There is nothing that is more important to me than assuring that you, our Arcadia Club Members who stay with us or any of our affiliated RCI properties, have a memorable experience. We have committed to hiring a full team dedicated to improving our club experience.
